I love a bike that gets me to… well… bike. Even if I’m going somewhere that’s just two kilometers away. And the Fiido C11 gives me that push to show up on the road, whatever the weather, with confidence.

If you’re looking for a stylish and efficient rainy day companion, this might just be the e-bike that makes you say, “Let’s gooo.”

Disclaimer: Popcycle was kind enough to lend me the Fiido C11 for a few days. This is an honest review based on my personal experience, and I was not paid or asked to say anything specific in return.

Technical Specifications

The Fiido C11 is decked out with a set of commuter-focused features that make it reliable for daily rides in mixed conditions.

At first glance, the frame might look a little tall for shorter or average-height Asian riders (I’m 5’2″, to give context). But in practice, the seatpost can be slammed all the way down or adjusted to your ideal reach, making it much more adaptable than it looks. Once you find your sweet spot, the upright geometry feels relaxed and stable.

The e-bike uses a cadence sensor for pedal assist, providing a smooth experience as soon as you start pedaling. No need to apply heavy force. Paired with a thumb throttle, you have full flexibility: pedal lightly with your legs, or press the throttle when you need an extra boost from a full stop or when you’re going uphill.

It also comes with a dedicated rear rack built into the frame so you can attach a pair of panniers on each side or tie a basket on top, along with full fenders that keep you protected from road spray during rain or floods.

Meanwhile, the bright rear light turns on when you squeeze the brake lever, so it’s not an always-on feature.

The LCD screen is minimal but functional, showing your current speed, battery level, and assist mode. It’s bright enough for midday visibility and backlit for evening rides. You can press M to view other screens and details, such as your odometer.

The motor supports speeds of up to 40 km/h, more than enough for most commutes. You can toggle on five settings: Eco, Normal, Sport, Turbo, and Turbo+, depending on how much effort you want to put in or how much battery you want to save. I use either Sport or Turbo depending on how clear the road is.

Braking is handled by hydraulic disc brakes, a major plus for any weather condition because of its stable stopping power. The C11 also uses 700x40c tires, perfect for a comfortable ride, but you can customize these based on your preferences (it can go up to 700x50c according to some users).

Battery & Power Management

The Fiido C11 is powered by a 48V 500Wh removable battery, offering enough range to cover daily commutes and side trips without constantly checking your charge level. You can expect anywhere from 60-90km on a full charge–not long range by any means, but long enough for most use cases. This will, of course, depend on the terrain, the pedal assist mode, and the rider weight.

And if you’re worried about bringing the whole bike into your home or office, don’t worry. Charging is simple because the battery is removable. Just pop the battery out with a key and plug it into any standard wall outlet. A full charge takes about six hours, making desk-side charging easy to fit into your routine. In fact, you might not do this often.

As a real-world example, I covered nearly 70km with the C11 and only charged it once. For only three hours.

Power delivery is smooth and predictable. Whether you’re using pedal assist or the thumb throttle, it never surges or feels too aggressive. For instance, I can safely stand and balance on the pedals while using the thumb throttle. The system responds well to your input, giving you enough push when you need it while helping manage battery use efficiently.

All in all, the C11’s battery keeps up with you and your commutes.

Riding Experience

We biked through persistent downpour here in Makati

I am willing to put my full trust on this e-bike when I’m on the road.

Riding the C11 through EDSA, Makati rush hour, and the hills of Kapitolyo, especially during downpours, was when I really understood what kind of e-bike this is. It’s a steady, capable commuter that doesn’t back down when the road gets ugly.

Or flooded.

I found its real strength along the Guadalupe Bridge in EDSA, where I had to trudge through ankle-deep water. But the C11 didn’t falter. Even over wet paint, it never skidded, which gave me the confidence to keep riding, even next to motorcycles that were snaking about the road.

Hydraulic brakes on this e-bike feel like a god-send, especially in the rain. Add to that the cadence sensor, which responds naturally with my pedaling style. It never felt like the bike was doing the work for me, more like it was amping the rhythm I already had. Compared to Fiido L3+, which leans on the twist throttle for fun, and the Fiido D11, which sticks to pedal-assist discipline (but also has a thumb throttle), the C11 gets the balance right. The thumb throttle is there when I need it (starting from a stoplight, in my case), and then I just let the pedal-assist system do its job.

I’m confident with the Fiido C11, even in the rain

In short, I’m riding with more confidence. The C11 makes rainy-day riding not just possible, but enjoyable (rule #9, baby!). It’s stable when the roads get wet, responsive when I need control, and practical enough to remind me that I don’t need four wheels to get through bad weather.

It’s Not Perfect, Though

On paper, the Fiido C11 does everything well as a vehicle that takes you from point A to point B. But there are a few things I want to change.

So, yes, prepare to spend a bit more should you decide on getting this e-bike.

My main issue lies with the pedals. I usually wear Converse sneakers when I go on bike rides (when I’m not training with my Trek Domane, that is). Usually, I have no problem staying on the pedals. However, on the C11, there were a few instances when the sole of my shoe would slip off the pedal, causing a near mishap. This also happened with my Merrell Bravada Backstrap sandals during rainy weather–and these are for hiking!

My Traction Gritt has a pair of Weapon Ambush pedals with slip resistance, and I’ve been using it since 2022 with no issues. If the C11 came with pedals like that, I wouldn’t have to worry so much about what shoes I’m wearing.

Second–and this has been a gripe I’ve had with some Fiido e-bikes–I’d change the front light entirely and get a Gaciron light and attach it to the fork. These stock lights are notorious for being weak and I don’t know why Fiido hasn’t made attempts to fix it for this model.

These little changes may not improve your riding style, but they will make you feel safer while on the e-bike.

Honorary mentions lean into aesthetics. I’d change the handlebar to one with a better backsweep and more secure handlebar grips. And maybe add a small basket or a front rack (not available in this model) to really deck it out as a mamachari-esque e-bike.

The Fiido C11 is Best for…

Ngl, it’s a beaut

The Fiido C11 can be a workhorse disguised as a chic ride. With its wide tires, sturdy rack options, and no-fuss controls, it feels like a natural upgrade from a manual bike or even a motorcycle minus the noise, maintenance, or fuel costs.

That’s what makes it ideal for professionals. The C11 offers a way out of the long commutes and extra spending. Its upright geometry and step-through frame let you ride with confidence and poise, without sacrificing comfort or posture.

That same ease of use is what makes it appealing to people who love wearing skirts and dresses. With the C11, there’s no need to ditch these types of clothes. The design respects the rider’s form and daily realities: wide handlebars for better control, a low standover for modesty and ease, and a smooth pedal assist system that doesn’t force you to overexert.

Verdict: The Fiido C11 Inspires Confident Riding

The Fiido C11 is built for people who need a reliable ride, rain or shine. It’s honestly easy to handle, even in less-than-ideal conditions. Whether you’re commuting to work, running errands, or just going around the city in the middle of a downpour, it gets the job done.

What stands out the most is how confident the C11 feels on the road. And how confident I feel on the C11. The pedal assist and throttle work well together, the hydraulic brakes respond smoothly, and the frame geometry is relatively stable even during flooded rides.

It doesn’t ask you to adjust your lifestyle just to ride an e-bike. It adjusts to you.

If you’re looking for an everyday e-bike that works well in our country’s roads no matter the weather, the Fiido C11 is a strong option. It’s priced at P55,000 exclusively at Popcycle.
